Work ,hike , swim, work, Hike, deep H2o aerobics! work, hike, swim, work, hike, swim, hike ,deep H2o aerobics! Repeat!!! do it all again! Seriously! It sounds like a lot but it is not doing 4 miles a day 4 days per week some harder some not, 1/2 mile swim 3 days then deep H2o aerobics! 2 days. It is fantastic! WORKING on the food part... ♡♡♡
After 10 months of dealing with the very annoying process of surviving Breast Cancer (read my other blog A lump in my road) I am moving forward. This blog may or may not have conclusion. I am not a writer. This is like reading in my head. It is bumpy and scary and funny and sad and maybe a little triumphant! I have found it to be helpful. Please feel free to talk to me. Have you heard of meet up???
So it's an app...and it is exactly what Iit sounds like! !! Amazing!!! Download. .. add your city/state...Pick things you are interested in. ... and BAM!!! It shows you tons of groups !!! Each filled with people who are interested in the same things you are. ... Brilliant! !!
And just for checking in purposes... I am keeping on keeping on!!! What is this week 7??? I don't even know... but I feel better all the time! I am down about.... (pausing for effect) 12lbs! I am site a plateau is in my near future. ... honestly it doesn't matter. .. I feel great! !! And that does matter! !!

Interesting factoids. ..
First, I went to physical therapy the other day. The therapist told me that walking is good for your bones and swimming is good for your muscles... That I thought was good to know... Because it reminds me I need both to be healthy... Though right now I enjoy them about equally!!!
Second, I believe that pretty much wherever I am there's a"walk" I have included a picture of the sign...for reasons I am not getting into I was at Tualatin Kaiser waiting and had time to kill so I thought I will walk (had the dogs too! ) and this sign was at the parking lot entrance! How great! I did not even have to think about where we would go. ..nice!

Reminding myself the why of it...
A few weeks ago I started couch to 5k which is designed for people who aren't currently working out and getting them to be able to run a 5k. I am not interested in running. So why I started was to get moving again and not hurting myself. It is an app. It takes only 30 minutes and only 3 days per week. Very manageable. So it is segments and on the "running " segments I fast walk. Fast enough I am getting my heart rate up. By week 3 I felt like I was really getting better! And Today I hiked 4 miles! It has been a year since I could do that! The point really is that what ever I choose to do,wherever I choose to go. I can do it and not worry if I can accomplish it.
It's a Beautiful day in the neighborhood...Hiking! !
Today was our first big hike! we went out to thousand acres...it's an off leash hiking area. ... we being me and my boys... we spent two hours and how wonderful that?!?! I wasn't out of breath at all! Honestly I am feeling like myself again! And the boys were pretty good we still have work to do... but in general I am going the direction I need to!

Oh. ..how is this actually going? ??
You might have questions. ... am I losing weight? ?? Answer; yes! Only 4 so far but that's fine! How is couch to 5k??? Honest only doing it 3 days per week I am fast walking the running parts and done week 1 for 4 weeks... but I am still moving! ! ! The swimming how is that? ?? The 80% legs is kicking my butt! And I am glad doing 4 -5 days per week, 2 of those deep water aerobics! so I guess it's all going well! I believe it is the journey not the destination!!! what a painful wonderful journey !!!
Snorkeling....
Do I need more words? !? Am amazing client/person/friend gave me a whole snorkeling set up!!! Mask, Fins, and of course Snorkel... I actually was afraid. ... what if. .. I do it wrong??? I can't breath? ??I really don't know! ?! But it was great! Put it all on. .. took a breath in then let it out as I stayed to move and it all feel into place! I think this will be scads of fun! !!

Deep Water Joy!
So today I did deep water aerobics! I haven't in years and what a joy to be back! !! At about 760 calories an hour it is a lot of burn and an amazing workout! And oh does my core burn! I will be feeling it tomorrow! !!
